Latest annual report available in 2026
2025 Cullman Drinking Water Quality Report
The City’s latest annual drinking-water report states that Cullman delivered 3,440,158,072 gallons of water during 2025. It reports that the water system did not violate a maximum contaminant level or another drinking-water quality standard during the reporting period.
The report identifies Lake Catoma and Duck River Reservoir as the system’s raw-water sources and describes Cullman’s treatment as a conventional surface-water treatment process.
Raw water originates from two reservoir sources rather than groundwater wells.
The current report describes chlorine as the system’s primary disinfectant.
The Utilities Board routinely monitors required drinking-water constituents under federal and Alabama rules.
Customers can contact the Water Treatment Plant for information about the current source-water assessment.

Water Service Troubleshooting Checklist
Check whether neighbors are affected
If nearby properties also have no service, contact Water/Wastewater. If only one property is affected, check private plumbing and shutoff valves too.
Check all fixtures
One weak faucet may indicate a fixture problem; low pressure throughout the property may require utility or private-plumbing investigation.
Look for continuous use
Check toilets, irrigation, faucets and underground lines. Save repair documentation if an eligible leak caused the increase.
Call service or treatment staff
Report persistent unusual color, taste, odor or sediment and describe when it started and whether neighbors have the same condition.
Determine whether it is inside or outside
Indoor odors may involve private traps or plumbing; public sewer-line issues can be reported to Water/Wastewater.
Report the exact location
Provide the nearest street address, intersection and a description of visible water flow.
